O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love, and Your strength. Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us, for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Almighty and ever living God, in your tender love for the human race you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon him our nature, and to suffer death upon the cross, giving us the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and also share in his resurrection;

What was Jesus' mission?

Jesus Christ teaches and heals the poor, feeds the hungry and even brings the dead back to life proclaiming the presence of God's Reign.

How was Jesus' relationship with God?

Very intimate, He addresses Him as "Father".

He tells us a lot about his own experience of God both as a dispenser of goods and a forgiving, gentle parent.

How did Jesus teach God's Reign?

1. He used parables. "The Reign of God is like.... " Parable of the sower

2. He gave us the Sermon on the Mount, a collection of His teachings in which we discover some of the surprise and goodness of the Reign.

What is the significance of His Resurrection after His Passion and Death?

The passion and death are only the beginning of Jesus' glorification. The Resurrection completes this central event. He promised us He will resurrect all of us too.
